Secure, distributed Base Station & Satellite model
CMDB-360 is deployed as a cloud appliance. Satellites live inside each customer environment; the Base Station gives you the unified view. Customer asset data is never saved on disk outside the protected environment.
Base Station
The MSP- or enterprise-operated CMDB-360 appliance that aggregates discovery rosters and presents the unified 360° view. It requests asset detail on demand and only holds it while a user is viewing the records.
Satellite
A lightweight appliance deployed inside the customer’s cloud tenancy or datacenter (for example an OCI compartment or AWS VPC). It discovers resources and streams non-sensitive rosters to the Base Station over a restricted REST API.
LaunchPad — launch Satellites in minutes
LaunchPad is the deployment layer of the architecture. Running on a single Linux host, it uses Docker — with automatic Docker Swarm support — to run any number of Satellites, while a proprietary integration wires it directly into the Base Station portal for point-and-click deployment. One LaunchPad can stand up many Satellites, so there’s no separate virtual machine to build for each one.
Base LaunchPad
Ships with every Base Station and is ready to use out of the box. It runs the Satellites that discover over a public cloud API — the OCI, AWS and Azure public-cloud Satellites.
Remote LaunchPad
Deployed inside a customer’s datacenter or cloud tenancy and bound to that account, so every Satellite it launches — and the data they gather — stays local to the customer.
Your customers’ data stays in their environment
Data never leaves
Cloud environment and asset data is never saved on disk outside the protected environment.
On-demand streaming
Asset detail streams to the Base Station only while a user is actively accessing a record.
Restricted REST API
Satellites communicate over a restricted, direct REST API — no broad network exposure.
